Claude Code now turns terminal work into live web pages
Anthropic just brought Artifacts to Claude Code, letting the AI agent spin up live, shareable web pages directly from terminal sessions. It pulls from your codebase, monitoring connectors, and conversation history to build interactive PR walkthroughs, incident timelines, and dashboards that refresh in place as work progresses. It is currently in beta for Team and Enterprise plans.
Every engineer knows the pain of debugging an incident with an AI terminal assistant, only to spend the next twenty minutes copying logs and screenshots into Slack so the rest of the team understands what actually happened.
Anthropic wants to kill that status update ritual. The company just brought Artifacts to Claude Code, letting the agentic coding tool turn an entire working session into an interactive, shareable web page on the fly.
Live dashboards straight from your terminal
Instead of just spitting out diffs and terminal output, Claude Code can now build visual artifacts using your full working context, including your codebase, connected monitoring tools, and chat history.
That means a single incident page can pull together failing unit tests, error spikes from your metrics stack, suspect commits, and Claude's root-cause reasoning into one place without wiring up any new infrastructure.
When Claude makes progress, the page updates in place at the same URL. Teammates viewing the link see updates instantly, complete with full version history and a gallery to browse past work.
Anthropic outlined use cases across the engineering org, from PR walkthroughs and design system mockups to automated license audits, data-flow privacy maps, and FinOps cloud cost breakdowns.
Locked down inside your org
Security is clearly aimed at enterprise buyers. Every artifact is private to the author by default and can only be shared with authenticated members of the same organization.
Crucially, artifacts cannot be made public. Admins get org-level toggles, role-based scoping, custom retention policies, and compliance API visibility.
The feature is rolling out in beta for Claude Team and Enterprise customers, available across the Claude Code CLI and desktop app.
Why it matters
We think this is one of Anthropic's sharpest enterprise moves yet. Most AI coding assistants treat the developer as a solo island, leaving humans to manually bridge the gap between terminal findings and team communication.
By turning deep technical context into instant, interactive pages, Claude Code is shifting from an individual code generator to a shared team dashboard. For on-call engineers, security leads, and managers, this significantly reduces the friction of explaining complex diffs or incident postmortems.
It also sets a new bar for rivals like Cursor and GitHub Copilot, pushing AI tooling deeper into cross-functional workflows like compliance, FinOps, and design.
The main drawback right now is exclusivity. It is locked behind Team and Enterprise tiers in beta, meaning solo developers and hobbyists cannot touch it yet, and teams must be comfortable relying on Claude's synthesis for high-stakes postmortems.
