ChatGPT Work can now copy how you actually write
ChatGPT Work just introduced a new personalization feature that learns your writing style by connecting to Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, and SharePoint. It scans your emails, messages, and files to mimic your favorite phrases, sign-offs, and capitalization quirks. It is currently rolling out on the web for paid accounts with Work access.

Nobody likes that generic, robotic tone in work emails, especially when your colleagues already recognize your favorite phrases and weird capitalization quirks.
ChatGPT Work can now pick up on how you actually talk by analyzing the tools you already use every day.
Mining your Slack messages for your voice
Users can connect ChatGPT Work to Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, and SharePoint. The tool then scans your emails, workspace chats, and files to learn your distinct tone, favorite phrases, and custom sign-offs.
Once it learns your style, ChatGPT carries those habits into whatever draft you ask it to write next.
The feature is available on the web for all paid plans with ChatGPT Work access. You can turn it on under Settings, head to Personalization, and enable Writing style, which then applies across both web and mobile.
Why it matters
Telling an AI to "sound professional yet casual" usually takes three failed prompt attempts. Letting ChatGPT passively absorb your real writing from actual messages removes that friction entirely, making it well worth trying if your day revolves around drafting updates.
It is a smart move from OpenAI to bypass the prompt engineering learning curve. Still, giving an AI reading access across your Slack channels and Google Drive files is going to trigger red flags for security-conscious IT teams.
