Apple's full autumn hardware slate officially hit store shelves worldwide on September 19.

The release covers the entire new iPhone lineup, introducing the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Alongside the phones, Apple also put the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, and AirPods Pro 3 on sale at Apple Store locations.

A major hardware drop and a Detroit debut

Coinciding with the global product rollout, Apple opened its first-ever Apple Store in Downtown Detroit, drawing local crowds from across Michigan on launch day.

Buyers can check out the new hardware in local stores, order on apple.com, or use the Apple Store app. Store specialists are on hand to manage trade-ins, sort out carrier deals, and handle device setup.

Why it matters

It is rare to see almost every core personal gadget from Apple drop on the exact same day. For buyers, the biggest draw is getting hands-on time with the all-new iPhone Air to see how it feels next to the standard and Pro tiers.

We think timing the Downtown Detroit store opening with this massive hardware wave was a clever move, giving the new retail spot instant foot traffic. The flip side is retail logistics: balancing first-day stock and trade-in support across four new phones, three watches, and flagship earbuds simultaneously looks like a real stress test for store staff.
