Samsung’s new AI oven lets you livestream your bakes
Samsung just announced the Bespoke AI Wall Oven at CES 2023, packing an internal camera that can livestream cooking sessions directly to online audiences. The smart appliance recognizes up to 80 dishes, optimizes cooking conditions, and pings your phone before food burns. It launches in North America later in 2023, though pricing is still under wraps.

Samsung just turned the humble kitchen oven into a content creation studio.
At CES 2023, the Korean tech giant unveiled the Bespoke AI Wall Oven, a connected smart appliance that comes with an internal camera designed to photograph and even livestream your bakes directly to your followers.
A built-in camera for your kitchen stream
Putting an internal camera inside a high-heat cavity is certainly eye-catching. Instead of rigging up heat-resistant cameras or hovering around the glass, users can broadcast the entire cooking process straight to their social feeds.
For quick check-ins, the unit features a 7-inch color display on the front, letting you monitor dinner without opening the door and dropping the temperature. Remote preheating and timer controls are also handled directly from a smartphone.
Spotting 80 dishes and preventing burnt meals
Behind the lens, Samsung baked in some practical computer vision smarts. The oven can recognize 80 different dishes and automatically configure cooking conditions for each one.
Even better, it monitors the cooking progress and sends an alert if your dish is in danger of burning. The appliance also supports trendy modes like air frying and air sous vide, while linking with Samsung Health to suggest meals tailored to personal fitness goals. It is slated to launch in North America later in 2023, with pricing still unannounced.
Why it matters
Samsung is smartly leaning into the reality that modern kitchens are increasingly treated as stages for lifestyle content. For food creators and casual bakers alike, automated internal streaming solves a real logistical headache of capturing the magic moment cheese melts or dough rises.
Beyond the hype, the burnt-food alert addresses an everyday pain point that ruins dinners. Still, practical questions linger: how well the camera lens withstands grease and extreme heat over years of roasting remains to be seen. If you are not an aspiring culinary streamer, paying an inevitable smart-appliance premium for a glorified kitchen webcam might be hard to justify.
