Runway and Adobe team up to bring AI models to creative apps
Runway just announced a multi-year partnership with Adobe to bring its AI models directly into Adobe's creative tools. The two companies will also co-develop specialized AI capabilities exclusively for Adobe applications. Why it matters: Creative pros will soon get Runway's generative tech right inside their daily workflows without jumping across separate tabs.

The days of switching between browser tabs to generate video and downloading clips into your editor might soon be over.
Runway CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela announced that Runway has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with Adobe to bring its models directly into Adobe's creative ecosystem.
Native models inside the creative suite
Under the deal, Runway's AI models and underlying tech will integrate into Adobe's applications.
On top of standard integration, the two companies plan to co-develop highly specialized AI features tailored for professional workflows. Runway noted that these new capabilities will be available exclusively within Adobe software.
Instead of treating Runway as a standalone playground, creative pros will soon be able to tap into its generative capabilities without leaving their timeline.
Why it matters
For creative professionals, convenience is king. Being able to generate, tweak, and iterate on video inside primary production apps saves massive friction.
For Adobe, the move shows pragmatism. Rather than relying solely on its internal Firefly models to compete against runaway research labs, Adobe is absorbing frontier third-party tech directly into its moat.
We think this is a huge distribution win for Runway. Building standalone apps is tough when legacy giants own the actual production pipelines. By securing exclusive integrations, Runway guarantees itself a front-row seat on millions of professional desktops.
