Runway's new tool turns product shots into ad concepts

Published Reach 38

Runway just launched Ad Concepter, a dedicated web app that turns a single prompt, a reference image, and a product shot into ready-to-test advertising ideas. Marketers and creators can now explore compositions and story beats without piecing together complex generative workflows.

Turning a single product photo into a batch of coherent ad concepts usually eats up hours of brainstorming and prompt tweaking.

One prompt, two images, instant ad beats

Runway just rolled out a new web app called Ad Concepter, aimed directly at creators and marketers.

Instead of requiring complex node setups or technical pipelines, the tool asks for just three inputs: a single text prompt, a reference image, and a product shot.

From there, Ad Concepter automatically spins up fresh ad concepts, camera compositions, and narrative story beats. The app is live right now on Runway's web platform.

Why it matters

We think this is a smart pivot from pure foundational video generation toward task-specific creative workflows.

For marketing teams and solo creators, pitch decks and early mood boards are where deals get won or lost. Having a dedicated interface to rapidly explore how a real product looks across different visual themes saves hours of manual asset prep.

While this looks built for ideation rather than pixel-perfect final production, it lowers the barrier for marketers who want AI concepts without learning advanced prompting tricks.
