Runway brings Google's Gemini Omni Flash into its video toolkit
Runway just integrated Google's Gemini Omni Flash model into its AI video platform. Creators can now generate and edit videos using text prompts, images, or existing video clips. The feature is available directly within the Runway interface or by instructing the platform's built-in Agent.

Juggling multiple AI platforms just to generate and tweak video clips is a headache every creator knows too well. Runway is trying to cut down that tab-switching by pulling Google's tech straight into its own sandbox.
Runway just added Google's Gemini Omni Flash model to its platform, giving creators a fresh engine for both generating and editing video content.
More inputs and direct Agent access
The integration handles multiple input formats right out of the gate. You can kick off a project with a standard text prompt, drop in a reference image, or feed it an existing video clip to build upon.
As for workflow, users can pick Gemini Omni Flash directly from Runway's main interface. Alternatively, you can just tell Runway's built-in Agent to use Omni, letting the assistant handle the heavy lifting behind the scenes.
Why it matters
For video creators, this cuts down on tedious export-import loops between separate platforms. Having Google's multimodal model available inside your existing video workspace gives you another creative style without disrupting your timeline.
From our perspective, Runway is making a pragmatic shift. Instead of forcing users to rely solely on in-house models, it is leaning into becoming a centralized production hub. Bringing in a faster Flash variant gives creators a lightweight option to iterate quickly before committing credits to final renders.
