Poe adds Previews to run AI-built web apps right in chat
Poe just introduced Previews, letting users see and interact with web applications built directly inside chat threads. The feature works alongside coding powerhouses like Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and Gemini 1.5 Pro. Basically, you can now generate frontend projects and test the live widgets immediately without pasting code elsewhere.

Copying code snippets back and forth into a browser just to see if a simple web app works has always been a pain. Poe is cutting that friction entirely.
AI aggregator platform Poe just introduced "Previews," a new feature that renders AI-generated web applications directly inside your chat window, allowing you to interact with them in real time.
Running live web apps in chat
Poe noted that Previews works especially well with top-tier coding models, specifically highlighting Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and Gemini 1.5 Pro.
Instead of handing you raw HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code blocks to test elsewhere, the chat interface can now render functional mini-apps, calculators, or interactive widgets right on the spot.
Why it matters
Ever since Anthropic rolled out Artifacts for Claude, in-line code execution has become a must-have for AI chat platforms. Poe's implementation is a smart catch-up, and it brings a distinct advantage: multi-model access.
We think this makes Poe an ideal playground for rapid prototyping. Instead of being locked into a single provider, developers and tinkerers can throw the same prompt at Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and Gemini 1.5 Pro to instantly compare how each model builds and renders interactive tools.
That said, these in-chat previews are primarily tailored for lightweight front-end components. Building anything with complex backends or persistent states will still require a proper development setup.
