Claude can now send your Gmails and manage your Google Drive
Anthropic just gave Claude the ability to directly send emails in Gmail and manage files in Google Drive. You can prompt Claude to reply to an email thread and it will draft and send the response, while keeping you in control of when it requires manual approval. It is available across all paid plans.

Having an AI draft your email is nice, but letting it actually hit send is a whole different ballgame.
Claude gets access to your inbox
Anthropic just rolled out new Google Workspace powers for Claude, allowing the AI to send emails directly inside Gmail and manage files across Google Drive.
Instead of copying text back and forth, you can simply ask Claude to reply to an email thread, and it will draft and send the response on your behalf. If that feels too risky, you can keep control by setting Claude to require your approval before it takes any action.
The feature is available across all paid Claude tiers and turns on via the connectors menu in your settings. Anthropic is also expanding Claude Cowork access on both mobile and web to all paying accounts so you can track what it is doing on the go.
Why it matters
AI assistants are finally moving past chat interfaces and into hands-on execution, with email and cloud storage being the most critical targets.
Giving Claude permission to send mail saves genuine time, and Anthropic was smart to include an approval toggle to prevent rogue replies. It pushes Claude closer to being an actual coworker rather than just a smart search box.
We think paid users should definitely give this a spin to cut down on daily admin work, though you would be wise to keep manual approvals turned on until you trust its judgment.
