ChatGPT and Codex add multi-account Google support

Published Reach 35

ChatGPT and Codex just rolled out support for connecting multiple Gmail and Google Calendar accounts, tackling a long-requested headache. Users can now hook up second or third accounts directly via the settings gear next to connected Google services. Why it matters: You can finally query your work and personal schedules simultaneously without constant account switching.

If you juggle separate Google accounts for work and personal life, getting an AI to check your calendar or inbox has always been an annoying hassle.

ChatGPT and Codex now officially support connecting multiple Gmail and Google Calendar accounts, answering one of the most requested user features across both platforms simultaneously.

Adding accounts through the gear icon

The setup is straightforward. Head over to Plugins in the left sidebar, search for Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Contacts, and locate your connected account.

Clicking the gear icon next to that account lets you link a second or third Google account right away.

Why it matters

For anyone running multiple inboxes, this removes a daily headache. You no longer have to disconnect and reconnect credentials just to ask AI about your afternoon schedule across personal and work calendars.

We think pushing this live on both ChatGPT and Codex at once is a very practical move. AI assistants become genuinely indispensable not just through bigger models, but through boring, thoughtful fixes that fit the messy reality of how people actually work.
