OpenAI launches DeployCo with $4B to embed engineers inside enterprises
OpenAI just launched the OpenAI Deployment Company, a standalone unit backed by over $4 billion in initial investment from 19 partners, to help enterprises build durable AI systems. It is also acquiring AI consultancy Tomoro to bring 150 Forward Deployed Engineers into client offices. It is basically Palantir's playbook applied to frontier LLMs.
