Nobel laureate says AI will replace just 5% of jobs in a decade

Economist Daron Acemoglu argued that mass automation fears are overblown, predicting AI will replace only 5% of human tasks and add just 1.5% to GDP over the next decade. Writing in MAI's new Humanist Review magazine, he urged developers to focus on augmenting human workers rather than attempting full replacement.
