Spectral Labs drops SGS-1 to turn sketches into parametric CAD files
Spectral Labs just launched SGS-1, a foundation model designed specifically for mechanical CAD. Instead of producing messy meshes, it takes an image, sketch, or STL file and outputs editable, watertight B-Rep parts in standard STEP format ready for assembly. It is not built for organic shapes yet, but it bridges the gap between generative AI and real-world manufacturing.
