HRM-Text pretrains a 1B reasoning model for $1,000
Sapient Intelligence just open-sourced HRM-Text, a framework that lets developers pretrain a 1B-parameter reasoning model from scratch for around $1,000 on Hopper GPUs. By using hierarchical recurrent latent reasoning, it cuts compute up to 600x and scores 84.7% on GSM8k with roughly 40B tokens. Full code and configs are out under Apache 2.0.
