Adobe just expanded its Firefly AI assistant to Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame.io, offloading grunt work like sorting clips into bins, batch-renaming assets, and fixing missing fonts. Firefly is also adding Elements and Projects to save brand assets across teams, with upcoming support for Google Gemini and Slack.
Adobe just launched an on-device AI Object Mask tool for Premiere, letting editors track complex moving subjects with a simple hover and click. Redesigned shape masks track up to 20x faster, and editors can directly import assets from Firefly Boards. After Effects 26.0 also launched with native 3D parametric meshes and variable font animation.
Adobe and the C2PA coalition just launched a new "icon of transparency" to reveal whether media was created with AI. Hovering over the badge shows who made it and which tools were used, functioning like a nutrition label to counter deceptive deepfakes.
