Meta plans Meta Compute cloud unit to sell spare AI power
Meta is building a dedicated cloud business called Meta Compute to sell excess AI capacity and model hosting to outside clients, directly challenging AWS, Azure, and CoreWeave. The roadmap includes raw compute rentals alongside Bedrock-style access to its Muse Spark models. Meta stock jumped 9.3% following the report.
