Nvidia's Jetson GPUs are heading to the moon
Lunar Outpost just announced its next moon rover will use Nvidia Jetson chips to run its lidar system, potentially putting the first GPU on the lunar surface. Slated to launch on a Falcon 9 rocket before the end of the year, the mission will test if commercial physical AI chips can survive cosmic radiation and freezing lunar nights on minimal power.
