Wimbledon drops human line judges for AI
Wimbledon just broke a 147-year tradition by replacing sharply dressed human line judges with an automated system. Developed by Sony-owned Hawk-Eye, it uses AI to analyze feeds from up to 18 cameras and call shots within a tenth of a second. The transition has already sparked debate, with players complaining that the synthesized calls are far too quiet on court.
