OpenAI buys camera startup Glass Imaging for over $300M
OpenAI just acquired smartphone camera startup Glass Imaging for more than $300 million, according to reports. Founded by ex-Apple engineers who helped create Portrait Mode, the company uses neural networks to bypass physical sensor limits and deliver DSLR-quality shots right at the shutter click. It is another clear signal of OpenAI's growing consumer hardware ambitions.
