FDA approves first human trial for cellular age reversal
Life Biosciences just received FDA clearance to test cellular reprogramming in humans for the first time, starting with roughly a dozen glaucoma patients. The experimental ER-100 therapy injects three reprogramming genes into one eye, using a doxycycline antibiotic switch to control cell rejuvenation. Why it matters: If partial reprogramming restores vision without triggering tumors, it could validate a completely new frontier for treating age-related diseases.
