Google deploys AI to battle extreme weather
Google just expanded its suite of climate AI tools targeting floods, wildfires, and urban heat. The tech giant brought its Flood Hub river forecasting to the U.S. and Canada, partnered with the U.S. Forest Service on its biggest fire spread model update in 50 years, and scaled its Tree Canopy tool to over 2,000 cities worldwide. It is a concrete push to turn satellite data into life-saving emergency alerts.
