Shopify turns AI chatbots into storefronts
Shopify just launched a Universal Cart, product catalog, and checkout kit designed specifically for AI agents. The developer tools let chatbots search millions of merchant inventories, bundle items across different stores, and complete purchases natively in the chat. Basically, AI assistants are becoming full-blown shopping storefronts.
