OpenAI alerts Mac users after npm supply chain hack
OpenAI just confirmed two employee laptops were compromised in a TanStack npm supply chain attack, exfiltrating app code-signing certificates. While user data and production systems were untouched, Mac users must update ChatGPT Desktop and companion apps before June 26, 2026, to prevent macOS from blocking them once old certificates are revoked.
