    Google drops 8th-gen TPUs built for the agent era

    Google just unveiled its eighth-generation TPUs at Cloud Next, splitting the lineup into TPU 8t for training and TPU 8i for inference. Co-designed with Google DeepMind, the 8t delivers 121 ExaFlops per 9,600-chip superpod, while the 8i cuts reasoning latency with 80% better performance-per-dollar.
