American Airlines is deploying AI to predict whether travelers will miss connections at major hubs, sometimes even intentionally delaying flights to let passengers catch up. The airline also infused generative AI into its chatbot, allowing stranded passengers to instantly find alternate routes and rebook during severe weather delays.
