Anthropic brings Claude-powered learning to Africa
Anthropic just partnered with the Rwandan government and tech training provider ALX to bring an AI learning companion named Chidi to hundreds of thousands of learners across Africa. Built on Claude, Chidi acts as a Socratic mentor to guide students through questions rather than direct answers, while Rwanda plans to train up to 2,000 teachers on integrating AI into classrooms.
