China's first AI computing satellite fleet takes flight
ADA Space and Zhejiang Lab just launched 12 satellites to kick off their planned 2,800-satellite orbital computing constellation. Each spacecraft packs 744 TOPS of computing power and an 8B AI model, linked by 100Gbps lasers to process remote sensing data directly in orbit. It is an ambitious bid to cut space missions' reliance on ground data centers.
