Sync Labs upgrades video dubbing with Lipsync-2-Pro

Published Reach 34

Sync Labs just launched Lipsync-2-Pro, a new video model designed to seamlessly alter what anyone says in any clip. It handles high-resolution video while keeping subtle details intact, from freckles to full beards. Why it matters: dubbing and re-recording clips will look a lot less like a blurry CGI filter.

AI lip-syncing usually falls apart the second a character has facial hair or skin texture, turning detailed chins into blurry smudges.

Sync Labs just rolled out lipsync-2-pro, its latest video model designed to alter spoken dialogue in any existing video.

Keeping the stubble intact

According to Sync Labs, the new model works directly on high-resolution footage.

The standout promise here is fine-grained detail preservation. The company says the model can modify mouth movements while keeping every tiny facial feature intact, ranging from subtle freckles to full, dense beards.

Why it matters

Translating videos into new languages or tweaking ad scripts after filming has always been held back by noticeable AI artifacts around the mouth.

If lipsync-2-pro delivers clean high-res outputs without wiping out facial textures, it could significantly cut down post-production costs for creators and localization studios. That said, we think the real test will be how naturally it handles complex lighting and sudden head turns in real-world footage.
