Suno drops v4 with cleaner audio and a remaster button
Suno just launched its v4 music model, bringing much cleaner audio, sharper lyrics, and more dynamic song structures. The biggest crowd-pleaser is a new Remaster feature that lets you upgrade your old tracks to v4 quality with a single tap. The update also bundles freshly designed cover art to match your track's vibe.

If you've played with AI music generators over the past year, you know the drill: the melodies can be catchy, but the audio often sounds like it was recorded through a tin can, and the vocals get mushy fast.
Suno is trying to fix that. The startup just launched v4, a major upgrade to its flagship music model aimed at making tracks cleaner, punchier, and far more dynamic.
Here is what is new in the release.
Better fidelity and a dedicated lyricist
The marquee promise of v4 is cleaner audio output, sharper lyrical pronunciation, and dynamic song structures that actually build and breathe like real tracks.
Alongside the raw model upgrade, Suno rolled out several targeted tools:
Remaster lets creators take existing songs made with older versions and upgrade their audio fidelity directly to v4 quality.
Lyrics by ReMi introduces a specialized lyric-writing assistant inside Custom Mode. Users choose ReMi from the dropdown, describe a theme, and receive creative song lyrics tailored for composition.
Cover Art gets a visual refresh, spitting out sharper artwork designed to match each track's specific vibe.
Suno also upgraded existing flagship features like Covers, which lets you upload an audio clip and prompt the model to reimagine it with a fresh arrangement, and Personas, which allows users to capture a specific vocal tone, vibe, and style to carry across multiple songs.
v4 is currently rolling out in beta to Pro and Premier subscribers across the web and iOS.
Why it matters
AI music generation is quickly crossing the line from a fun party trick into an actual production tool. For solo game devs, podcast hosts, and video creators, having vocal clarity and dynamic song transitions drastically lowers the cost of scoring original, high-quality audio.
We think Suno's decision to add Remaster and Personas is a remarkably smart product move. Generative AI usually suffers from the "lottery problem" where you hit a goldmine once and can never reproduce the same voice again. Personas directly tackles consistency, turning one-off prompts into recognizable virtual artists.
The real test ahead isn't just audio fidelity, though. As Suno makes uploading reference tracks and cloning soundscapes easier, the legal pressure from major music labels will almost certainly intensify.
