Playground just launched a revamped platform powered by its new Playground v3 beta foundation model. The tool focuses heavily on practical graphic design, letting users generate T-shirt prints, logos, social graphics, and memes. Best of all, it is live right now with no waitlist.

Playground founder Suhail just unveiled the new Playground, repositioning the platform around professional graphic design rather than just generic AI art. The platform is powered by the company's next-generation Playground v3 foundation model, which is currently in beta.

Tailored for real-world design

Instead of just spitting out wallpaper-like visuals, the updated Playground focuses on concrete design workflows. Suhail highlighted specific use cases including designing T-shirts, creating company logos, crafting social media posts, and even generating new meme formats.

The beta is live right now at playground.com, with no waitlist required.

Why it matters

We think this is a smart pivot from AI novelty to daily utility. Most image generation tools still require heavy lifting in tools like Photoshop or Canva before the output is actually usable for merchandise or marketing. By designing directly for logos and apparel, Playground is taking a swing at everyday creator workflows.

Skipping the waitlist makes it easy for anyone to test immediately. The real test will be whether Playground v3 can handle tricky design details like typography and clean lines well enough to replace traditional templates.
