OpenCode's new Ox Alpha stealth model is free for a week

Published Reach 50

OpenCode just launched Ox Alpha, a multimodal stealth model that is completely free to use for the next week. It packs a massive 1M token context window, zero data retention, and generous rate limits backed by 100T tokens per day of capacity to stress-test the system.

OpenCode just unleashed Ox Alpha, a stealth AI model that is completely free to use for the next week.

The raw specs are hard to overlook. The model packs a 1 million token context window, full multimodal capabilities, and a strict zero data retention policy. OpenCode is also attaching remarkably generous rate limits to the release, promising near-unlimited usage.

Built for a 100 trillion token stress test

There is a very clear motive behind the giveaway.

OpenCode revealed that its infrastructure is built to digest up to 100 trillion tokens per day. This temporary free access is essentially a massive public stress test, designed to push capacity to the absolute edge and see what users can actually build at scale.

Why it matters

If you have hefty codebases or massive multimodal datasets that you hesitated to upload to proprietary services, this is your testing window. Zero data retention means enterprise-sensitive work can run through the pipe without worrying about training leaks.

We think turning a global audience into real-time stress testers is a smart tactical play. Running live workloads across a 100 trillion token pipeline will reveal bottlenecks long before a commercial launch.

That said, enjoy the unlimited sandbox while it lasts. Supplying compute at this scale without billing is unsustainable, and Ox Alpha will almost certainly lock these high ceilings behind premium tiers once the week wraps up.
