Okara wants to replace marketing teams with 6 AI agents for $99
Okara just launched AI CMO, which deploys six autonomous agents to manage your entire marketing pipeline around the clock from a single URL. For $99 a month, it covers traditional SEO, copywriting, and social distribution across X, Reddit, and Hacker News, alongside Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for AI search tools like Perplexity.

Thanks to coding assistants like Cursor and Claude Code, building an MVP in 2026 takes just days. But once the site is live, solopreneurs hit the same brutal wall: distribution. Traditional agencies cost thousands a month, and founders rarely have the time to live on social media.
Startup Okara launched what it calls the world's first AI CMO. The pitch is simple: type in your website URL, and the platform deploys six autonomous agents to handle your marketing around the clock for $99 a month. The announcement thread clocked 3.1 million views on X in just four hours.
A six-agent army that optimizes for AI search
Instead of hiring a small army of contractors, Okara replaces each role with a dedicated autonomous bot. The team consists of a traditional SEO agent for Google, an AI copywriter pumping out continuous content, and three dedicated community agents driving conversations on X, Reddit, and Hacker News.
Perhaps the most compelling piece is the Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) agent. While traditional search focuses on page rank, GEO focuses on making your brand visible inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude.
Okara points out that traditional agencies cannot realistically offer real-time GEO services because algorithmic response formats shift constantly. A programmatic agent, however, can monitor AI visibility non-stop. The team plans to add influencer marketing, link building, and YouTube agents soon, with integration on Idlen around the corner.
Why it matters
For bootstrapped founders and solopreneurs, this is an undeniably tempting deal. Replacing a typical $13,500 monthly agency stack with a $99 subscription removes the biggest friction point in indie hacking: getting top-of-funnel traffic without burning out.
That said, deploying automated bots on Reddit and Hacker News is a minefield. Both platforms aggressively penalize automated promotional activity, and low-quality spam can kill a brand's reputation permanently before it even finds product-market fit.
We see Okara as a smart, ruthlessly efficient distribution tool for mundane execution, but calling it a CMO is generous. It will blast your message across multiple pipes and capture emerging GEO traffic, but founders will still need to supply the real product positioning and taste that automated bots inevitably lack.
