Moonshot AI just integrated the OpenClaw framework directly into kimi.com with Kimi Claw, moving complex agent workflows from local setups to a 24/7 cloud tab. Users get 40GB of storage for persistent RAG datasets, access to ClawHub's 5,000 community skills, and Telegram bridging for automated tasks.

Running a custom AI agent has long meant fighting local dependencies, managing API keys, and leaving your laptop running all night. Moonshot AI wants to kill that hassle by moving the entire stack into a browser tab.

The company officially rolled out Kimi Claw directly on kimi.com. The launch transforms the open-source OpenClaw framework into a cloud-native, fully managed workspace that runs around the clock.

5,000 skills and a 40GB workspace

The engine behind Kimi Claw is ClawHub, a registry packed with more than 5,000 community-built skills. Instead of writing custom API wrappers, users can discover, call, and chain these modular tools straight inside the web interface without touching code.

To get around the stingy upload limits of typical chat apps, Kimi Claw gives users 40GB of dedicated cloud storage. You can stash datasets, code repos, and documentation directly in your workspace to run heavy Retrieval-Augmented Generation across multiple sessions.

It also brings in Pro-Grade Search to pull structured real-time numbers from sources like Yahoo Finance, reducing hallucinations on sensitive market queries.

For developers who already run a custom setup, there is a Bring Your Own Claw feature. It connects local setups to the cloud tab and can even bridge agents into messaging apps like Telegram so they can interact in group chats and trigger automated workflows 24/7.

Why it matters

We think this is a clever shift for Moonshot AI. While most AI companies are still obsessing over raw context sizes, turning a browser tab into a persistent execution box targets a real developer pain point. For data analysts and solo builders tired of managing local background servers, getting 40GB of storage and pre-built tooling out of the box makes this well worth testing right now.

The real test will be reliability. Thousands of community-made skills will inevitably bring quality control headaches, and letting an agent operate round-the-clock inside team chats raises obvious security boundaries. Still, by packaging complex automation into a clean web interface, Moonshot is setting a clear blueprint for what next-gen AI productivity should look like.
