Meta adds an AI video feed to Meta AI
Meta just launched Vibes, an AI-generated short video feed inside the Meta AI app and on meta.ai. Users can scroll through community clips, generate fresh videos from scratch, or remix existing posts with new music and styles before blasting them to Instagram Reels. It is Meta's clearest attempt yet to make generative video social.

Meta is turning AI video generation into a full-fledged social feed.
The company rolled out an update to the Meta AI app, featuring an early preview of Vibes, a dedicated feed within the Meta AI mobile app and meta.ai where users can browse, generate, and share short-form AI videos.
Endless AI video feed
Instead of opening an app just to prompt a chatbot, Vibes greets you with a continuous stream of AI-generated clips created by other users and artists.
Meta noted that the feed will get more personalized as you spend time browsing. When an idea catches your eye, you do not have to start from scratch. You can take any video in the feed and remix it right on the spot.
You can also start from a clean slate or bring your own media, layering in fresh visuals, adding background music, and altering artistic styles to suit your taste.
Built-in ties to Instagram and Facebook
Sharing is baked directly into Meta's massive social empire. Once your clip is ready, you can publish it directly to the Vibes feed, message it to friends, or cross-post it to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.
The integration goes both ways. If you stumble upon a Meta AI video while scrolling Instagram, tapping it will bounce you straight into the Meta AI app to start remixing.
Meta revealed that it is currently collaborating with a group of visual artists and creators to build more capable video models and tools, with wider rollouts planned down the road. Meanwhile, the Meta AI app continues to serve as the control center for Meta's smart glasses.
Why it matters
AI video generation is transitioning from a specialized production utility into disposable social entertainment. Pure-play video generation platforms often force users to think up complex prompts and juggle external video editors. Vibes turns the entire process into a remix culture that anyone can participate in while laying on the couch.
We think this is a clever strategic move against rivals like OpenAI, Runway, and TikTok. While AI video startups are racing to build the most hyper-realistic generation models, Meta is focusing on distribution and virality. By connecting Vibes directly to Instagram Reels and Stories, Meta solves the hardest problem in consumer AI, which is giving regular people an immediate reason to share what they made.
That said, Meta's biggest challenge will be content quality. Generating short video clips in seconds inevitably opens the floodgates to repetitive, low-effort slop. If Meta's recommendation algorithm cannot separate genuinely creative work from endless AI visual noise, users could tire of the novelty very quickly.
