Manus slides just became editable

Published Reach 39

Manus just rolled out precision editing for presentation slides generated with nano banana Pro. Instead of regenerating an entire slide image just to fix a typo or tweak a layout, users can now point, click, and edit text or visual elements directly while keeping the original design quality intact. The feature is live today for all users, including on existing presentations.

Anyone who has used AI to make a presentation knows the heartbreak of the single typo. The slide looks visually stunning, but one word is misspelled. You hit regenerate, and the entire aesthetic disappears into thin air.

Manus is finally addressing that pain point. The team announced that slides generated using nano banana Pro are now fully editable, and the feature rolled out to all users on December 18.

Point, click, and fix without starting over

Previously, presentations made with nano banana Pro were treated as complete, flat images. While visually striking, making a simple layout tweak or text change was impossible without rerolling the entire slide from scratch.

With this update, you can click on any specific part of a slide to make local adjustments. Text edits maintain the original render quality and styling, so new words blend naturally into the existing design.

Users can also adjust visual elements locally and preview before-and-after results without regenerating the entire canvas.

Manus also ported over a feature from its October website builder launch: you can select multiple areas at once and apply bulk edits across the slide.

The feature works retroactively as well. Any deck previously generated with nano banana Pro is now open for direct editing.

Why it matters

AI generation has always had a control problem. Generating an entire asset in one shot is great for brainstorming, but actual business workflows require tedious, surgical iteration.

If fixing a single metric requires gambling on a brand-new generation, serious professionals will simply abandon AI slides and head straight back to Pitch or PowerPoint.

We think Manus is taking the right approach by bridging rapid image generation with granular, point-and-click manipulation. Bringing over the interaction model from their website builder keeps the workflow familiar and cohesive.

That said, there is still an underlying tension. Because these slides stem from image generation rather than native vector layouts, true enterprise capabilities like live data linking, font management, and real-time team co-authoring could still prove tricky down the line.
