Lovable now runs Python to analyze files and make decks
Lovable just expanded beyond building full-stack apps by letting its AI agent run Python scripts in a secure environment. Users can now drop in spreadsheets, PDFs, or raw data to run deep analysis and generate branded pitch decks, reports, invoices, or launch videos directly in chat. Why it matters: It bridges the gap between writing code and running the actual business in a single thread.

Most founders know the pain: you use an AI tool to spin up a quick prototype, and five minutes later you're back in spreadsheet hell trying to format cohort retention numbers, wrestling with pitch deck slides, or manually typing up an overdue invoice.
Lovable wants to end that tool-switching fatigue. On March 19, the full-stack app builder announced a massive update: its AI agent can now run Python scripts, install tools, and process data inside a secure sandbox.
Running the actual numbers
Most AI chat interfaces just read text inputs and generate plausible answers. Lovable is taking a different approach by actually executing code under the hood.
Its agent can now spin up an isolated environment, run custom Python scripts for heavy quantitative analysis, convert complex formats, and verify its own results before handing them back to you.
It handles pretty much every standard file type you deal with, including PowerPoint, Word, PDF, CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, images like JPEG and WebP, and video files.
If you have a brittle Excel sheet packed with broken formulas, you can drop it in and ask for a web app with search, filters, and user authentication. Lovable builds a functional software product backed by a real database right from your raw spreadsheet.
From customer calls to investor slides
The update also links directly with the messy operational side of running a business.
You can connect Slack to pull messages from your feedback channels, run sentiment analysis, and rank top feature requests automatically. Connect Granola to ingest client call notes, and Lovable turns those raw transcripts into interactive prototypes before your meeting follow-up email even lands.
Need to look professional in front of stakeholders? Lovable can take your actual user metrics and export a downloadable PowerPoint pitch deck. It can also generate branded PDF invoices with tax breakdowns, or turn flat 2D product photos into 3D animations and launch videos.
Why it matters
For solo builders and lean teams, the hardest part of launching a company is rarely the code itself. It is the friction of coordinating BI tools, slide makers, document editors, and codebases across ten different browser tabs. Having your backend, analytics, and investor collateral live in the exact same prompt window removes serious cognitive overhead.
In the broader market, pure code generation is becoming a commoditized race. By giving its agent real execution power over documents, analytics, and media, Lovable is quietly pivoting from a frontend builder into an end-to-end founder workstation. That poses a direct challenge to standalone document and dashboard tools.
We think it is a sharp product move, though cramming everything into one chat has its risks. Generating a script is one thing, but maintaining pristine visual formatting across complex decks while ensuring backend code integrity will test the agent's edge-case handling under real production pressure.
