Krea lets you train Wan 2.1 on your own videos
Krea just rolled out custom video training powered by Wan 2.1. Creators can now feed their own footage into the model to teach it specific visual styles, motions, or custom subjects for tighter generation control.

Getting an AI video generator to actually follow directions has always felt like rolling dice. No matter how detailed the prompt is, motions drift and visual styles change from shot to shot.
Krea rolled out Video Training to tackle that lack of control head-on.
Teaching Wan 2.1 your own moves
Krea built this new capability on top of the open-source Wan 2.1 video model.
Instead of just tweaking text prompts, users can now upload their own video clips to train Wan 2.1 directly. The model can learn custom visual styles, specific recurring objects, and particular motion patterns from the footage.
Basically, rather than generating dozens of clips hoping the camera moves the right way, you can now feed in references and teach the model what you want.
Why it matters
For video editors and visual artists, consistency is the ultimate bottleneck. Being able to anchor an exact motion path or brand style into a video model cuts down hours of prompt gymnastics and post-production clean-up.
It also highlights how rapidly the ecosystem around Wan 2.1 is moving. Instead of treating open-source weights as static engines, platforms like Krea are turning complex fine-tuning pipelines into accessible front-end features.
We think shifting from prompt engineering to direct video training is the right move for serious production workflows, though it remains to be seen how many clips are needed before the model can cleanly reproduce complex motion without breaking down.
