Krea AI opens Realtime Edit beta to waitlist and Max users

Published Reach 33

Krea AI just kicked off beta testing for Realtime Edit, rolling out immediate access to the first 10,000 waitlist signups and all Max subscribers. The tool brings live image editing to the canvas, but everyone else will have to stay in line for now.

Waiting around for AI images to generate one by one is easily the most frustrating part of the design process. Krea is trying to eliminate that lag altogether.

Krea AI announced that its Realtime Edit feature is officially live for beta testing.

Rolling out to early users

The rollout is fairly exclusive for now.

Access has been unlocked for the first 10,000 users on the waitlist, alongside everyone currently subscribed to the top-tier Max plan.

Anyone else hoping to try it out will need to reply to the company's prompt to grab a spot in the queue.

Why it matters

For digital artists and designers, waiting seconds for an inpainting mask or a style tweak completely breaks creative flow. Shifting from a turn-based prompt box to real-time editing turns the AI into an actual interactive canvas rather than a slot machine.

We think Krea is playing to its core advantage here. While frontier models are competing on raw image fidelity, Krea's sweet spot has always been speed and instant visual feedback. Locking this behind the Max plan makes a lot of sense: it gives paying subscribers immediate utility while protecting inference infrastructure from getting crushed. The real test will be whether they can maintain this level of responsiveness once it opens up to the broader public.
