Krea open-sources a 14B realtime video model
Krea AI just open-sourced Krea Realtime, a 14B autoregressive model that is 10x larger than existing open-source counterparts. Running on a single B200 GPU, it generates long-form video at 11 fps. Weights and a technical report are available now.

Krea Realtime is a newly open-sourced 14B autoregressive video generation model from KREA AI, built specifically for generating long-form video.
According to KREA, the 14B model is roughly 10x larger than existing open-source counterparts. Despite the heavy parameter count, it can generate long-form videos at 11 fps on a single NVIDIA B200 GPU. Both the model weights and the technical report have been released publicly.
Big autoregressive video on a single B200
Autoregressive video models often struggle with generation latency, but Krea Realtime manages respectable speeds by scaling compute on modern hardware.
The catch is the hardware requirement. Reaching that 11 fps speed currently requires a high-end B200 accelerator, placing direct deployment out of reach for consumer rigs. Still, with full weights and documentation available, the open-source community will likely begin testing quantizations and optimizations soon.
Why it matters
Most open-source video generators have hovered around smaller parameter sizes to keep inference practical. KREA's move pushes the baseline for autoregressive video models up to 14B without giving up long-form continuous output.
While everyday creators cannot run this on a local desktop today, developers and researchers with cluster access should definitely dig into the technical report. It offers a serious open baseline that could spur faster, smaller community derivatives down the road.
