Krea AI buys Wand, drops real-time generative iPad app

Published Reach 39

Krea AI just acquired Wand and launched its native iPad app. The new release pairs traditional drawing tools and custom brushes with Krea's real-time AI engine, letting you sketch on glass while watching the AI render every stroke on the fly.

Sketching on a tablet usually forces you to choose between native brush feel and live AI generation. Krea wants to combine the two.

Krea AI announced that it has acquired creative tool Wand App and rolled out a brand-new iPad application, which is available immediately.

Real-time AI meets native brushes

According to Krea, the new iPad app merges a native iOS feel with custom brushes and real-time AI generation.

Creators can draw with responsive custom brushes while Krea generates and updates the visual output on the fly.

Why it matters

For digital illustrators and concept artists, this turns the iPad into a portable canvas where live AI feedback feels integrated with everyday sketching tools.

Instead of building a touch-first creative interface from scratch, acquiring Wand App gave Krea an instant shortcut to mobile UX. We think pushing real-time generation natively onto the iPad is a smart play that takes generative AI out of the desktop browser and onto the hardware creators actually use.
