Kling AI drops Avatar feature with upgraded Lip Sync
Kling AI just rolled out a new Avatar feature, integrating an upgraded version of its popular Lip Sync tool directly into the module. The update aims to make talking-head videos look much more natural. It is rolling out with limited access for now.
If you are trying to produce talking-head videos without ever stepping in front of a camera, digital avatars have become the go-to shortcut.
Kling AI officially announced the rollout of its new Avatar feature. Alongside the launch, the platform upgraded its existing Lip Sync tool and folded it directly into this new avatar module.
A unified setup for talking characters
According to Kling AI's post on X, the new Avatar module is currently rolling out with limited access, meaning not everyone can jump in immediately.
Previously, users relied on Lip Sync to match audio tracks to character mouth movements. By upgrading that engine and packaging it into a dedicated Avatar feature, Kling is effectively turning what used to be a standalone step into a more cohesive workflow for generating speaking digital humans.
Why it matters
AI video generators are rapidly shifting from pure visual novelty to practical production tools.
For creators and marketers, realistic avatars and precise lip synchronization are essential for turning static concepts into shareable explainer videos and social posts. Kling AI combining these capabilities into one module looks like a smart move to keep creators inside its own ecosystem.
That said, access remains strictly limited for now. We think the real test will come once regular users get their hands on it to see whether the upgraded lip sync can avoid uncanny artifacts and hold up under dynamic camera movements.
