Google is prepping Gemini Spark, a 24/7 proactive AI agent
Google is reportedly gearing up to unveil Gemini Spark at Google I/O, a persistent personal assistant designed to run 24/7. Unlike standard reactive chatbots, Spark learns from user habits and taps into connected apps and browser sessions to handle inbox and web tasks autonomously. It marks Google's big push from on-demand chatbots to always-on autonomous agents.

Google is getting tired of waiting for you to type prompts.
According to leaks shared by TestingCatalog ahead of Google I/O, the tech giant is preparing to reveal Gemini Spark, a proactive, 24/7 AI agent designed to run your everyday life in the background.
A persistent browser-level assistant
Unlike traditional chatbots that sit idle until you ask a question, Gemini Spark functions as a persistent assistant. It continuously learns from your habits, tasks, and location to tackle inbox chores and online errands autonomously.
To make that happen across the web, Gemini reportedly saves remote browser data, including active login credentials and remote code execution state. It essentially operates a cloud browser on your behalf, navigating logged-in accounts and connected tools. Google will reportedly include toggles in settings to clear this remote footprint and shut off personal intelligence features.
Why it matters
We think Gemini Spark signals a critical shift from reactive chat tools to persistent execution agents. Google's approach of keeping remote browser sessions alive is a clever shortcut around web authentication hurdles, which have always been the biggest bottleneck for automated web assistants.
However, storing active login states and running remote code on background agents carries massive security implications. If Google can guarantee rock-solid isolation and safety, this could finally turn Gemini into the true digital butler Big Tech has been promising for years.
