Google's Veo 2 lands on Freepik with $0.50/second pricing
Freepik just partnered with Google to roll out the Veo 2 video generation model, while Google quietly revealed its pricing at 50 cents per second. That adds up to $30 per minute for clips that can run two minutes or longer. Unlike OpenAI bundling Sora into a $200 monthly plan, Google is betting on pay-as-you-go video production.

If you want to take Google's latest AI video tech for a spin, your first stop surprisingly isn't a Google product. Freepik just announced a worldwide debut of Google's flagship Veo 2 model directly on its platform.
Google's Veo 2 lands on Freepik first
Freepik claims Veo 2 is the most advanced AI video generation model available, highlighting unmatched realism, precision, and ultra-smooth animations.
To drive early adoption, the platform is giving two free generations to the first 10,000 users who log in to test it.
Why it matters
For everyday creators, being able to tap into a top-tier video model inside an existing design workflow is a huge convenience, bypassing long waitlists. That said, two free trial generations will vanish in seconds, so its real everyday utility will depend heavily on Freepik's ongoing pricing.
From an industry perspective, we think Google's choice to partner with Freepik for a global launch signals an important shift. Rather than hoarding cutting-edge models inside closed labs or native apps, Google looks eager to meet creators exactly where they already work, taking the video AI race straight to production tools.
