ElevenLabs drops an infinite AI soundboard
ElevenLabs just launched the SB-1 Infinite Soundboard, an interactive tool powered by its SFX API. Users can trigger multiple sound effects at once, loop tracks, or instantly generate custom audio clips simply by typing a short text prompt. It gives gamers, streamers, and Discord communities an effortless way to create custom audio cues without digging through royalty-free libraries.

If you stream on Twitch or hang out in Discord calls, you know the drill: soundboards are hilarious until you realize everyone has the exact same ten memes on repeat.
ElevenLabs just launched the SB-1 Infinite Soundboard, a custom sound effect tool powered by the company's SFX API that lets you generate any noise you can think of on the fly.
Prompt to pad in seconds
Instead of hunting through sound effect libraries or downloading random MP3 files, the SB-1 turns text prompts into playable audio pads.
Users can upload their own audio clips, browse popular community presets, or hit the edit button on any pad to describe what they want in a few words. The model generates the effect and binds it to that button automatically.
You do not have to worry about losing your setup either. The tool lets you save entire soundboard presets to your account, so you can switch between a gaming sound set and a podcast reaction board with a single click.
Alongside the soundboard, the page also notes the rollout of Eleven v4, which the team describes as its most emotive model yet.
Multi-pad layering and endless loops
Playback goes a bit beyond simple one-shot triggers.
The interface allows you to fire off multiple sound effects simultaneously. If you want rain ambiance playing while triggering sirens and footsteps, you can click across several pads without interrupting the others.
There is also a built-in loop toggle for each pad. That makes it easy to set up continuous background drones or repeating rhythms without having to hammer the key repeatedly.
All your custom collections live under a dedicated tab, while a default tab houses trending sound packs ready to play out of the box.
Why it matters
We think this is a brilliant showcase of developer marketing disguised as a fun consumer toy. Instead of just documenting its SFX API in dry code repositories, ElevenLabs built a practical playground that Discord gamers and streamers actually want to use.
For creators and casual gamers, it removes almost all friction from sound design. If an unexpected joke happens mid-stream, you can spin up a tailored reaction sound in seconds rather than settling for generic canned applause.
For the broader audio AI landscape, it highlights how text-to-audio is shifting from background tracks and voice cloning into ultra-short, interactive utility. Micro-audio has long been overlooked, yet it is what people trigger dozens of times a day.
The real test will be latency and integration. A browser-based interface cannot fully replace physical gear like a Stream Deck or deep virtual cable routing just yet, but as a frictionless demo of instant audio generation, it is well worth testing right now.
