ElevenLabs lets AI voice agents pass calls to each other
ElevenLabs just rolled out seamless call transfers between agents in its Conversational AI platform. Different teams inside a company can now build specialized agents in parallel, each equipped with its own tools and knowledge base. Why it matters: Complex voice workflows no longer need a bloated, do-it-all bot.

Nobody likes repeating themselves to three different customer service reps. ElevenLabs thinks its voice agents can do handoffs a lot better.

Specialized agents, one call
Instead of wrestling with one giant voice bot that tries to know everything, organizations can now build specialized agents in parallel.
Each agent can run on its own dedicated knowledge base and toolset. For instance, a front-desk agent can handle the greeting and triage, then hand the caller directly over to a billing or technical support agent without dropping the call or the context.
Why it matters
We think modularity is the right bet for enterprise voice AI. Cramming an entire company's documentation into a single prompt is a recipe for hallucinations and maintenance headaches. Letting individual teams own focused agents and daisy-chaining them makes day-to-day operations much cleaner.
For developers and support teams, the real test will be how smoothly context transfers and whether handoffs introduce annoying latency. If ElevenLabs nails that, this multi-agent setup will quickly become the standard blueprint for AI call centers.
