Cursor Agent goes mobile

Published Reach 42

Cursor just launched Cursor Agent on web and mobile, letting developers kick off coding tasks from any browser or PWA. Agents can fix bugs, create pull requests in the background, and trigger directly through Slack mentions, keeping everything in sync when you return to your desktop editor.

Cursor is breaking out of the IDE.

The AI coding platform just launched Cursor Agents on web and mobile, letting developers run tasks and manage codebases from any browser or as an installable PWA on iOS and Android.

Coding from your phone and Slack

The new web interface at cursor.com/agents lets developers kick off background tasks like bug fixes, building new features, or codebase exploration while away from their laptops.

It supports multi-agent parallel runs to compare different approaches, image uploads, and context-rich follow-ups. Teammates with repo access can review diffs and open pull requests directly from the browser.

Cursor also introduced Slack integration. You can trigger agents by tagging @Cursor in a Slack thread and receive alerts once the job wraps up. When you get back to your desktop, the work syncs right back into the native IDE for inline edits and final reviews.

Why it matters

Cursor is turning code generation into an asynchronous background service rather than a synchronous autocomplete session.

Waiting several minutes for an agent to refactor code inside an open editor kills momentum. Offloading that cognitive downtime to background runs—and using Slack as the interface—makes the agent feel much more like an autonomous junior engineer.

While reviewing large diffs on a phone screen will never be ideal, being able to dispatch tasks on the go and have ready-to-review PRs waiting at your desk is a massive workflow upgrade.
