Claude connects to Spotify, Uber, and everyday apps
Anthropic just added everyday lifestyle connectors to Claude, including Spotify, Uber, Instacart, and Booking.com. The directory now tops 200 tools, and Claude can dynamically suggest apps mid-conversation or chain them together, always confirming before booking or buying. It brings Claude one step closer to a true universal agent.
For the past year, most people treated Claude like an ultra-capable coworker who clocked out the moment work ended. You turned to it for refactoring code, parsing financial sheets, and organizing project backlogs.
Now, Anthropic is trying to run your weekend, too.
Anthropic has rolled out a major expansion to its connector directory, adding everyday consumer apps directly inside Claude. The new roster covers 15 heavy-hitting lifestyle services, including AllTrails, Audible, Booking.com, Instacart, Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, Resy, Spotify, StubHub, Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, TripAdvisor, Uber, Uber Eats, and Viator.
Everyday apps that surface when you actually need them
Since launching connectors in July 2025, Claude's directory has quietly grown to over 200 integrations, mostly dominated by productivity and enterprise tools.
Anthropic noticed early on that power users loved chaining these services together inside single threads, like pulling analytics from Amplitude, generating a slide deck in Canva, and filing tickets in Asana without leaving the chat window.
Bringing that workflow to real life feels like a natural evolution. Rather than making you manually invoke tools, Claude now dynamically surfaces relevant apps mid-conversation based on your context.
Ask for an outdoor hike this weekend, and Claude will tap AllTrails to show nearby trails matching your criteria. You can ask for pet-friendly paths or shorter scenic routes right in the same thread. When multiple apps can help with a task, Claude displays them all and lets you choose.
Music integration goes surprisingly deep. Through Spotify, both free and paying users can fetch personalized music and podcast picks based on their listening history. Premium subscribers can describe a specific mood or vibe to generate custom playlists on the fly. The integration even supports Spotify Connect, letting you preview tracks inside Claude or transfer playback across speakers and phones seamlessly.
No paid placements, and no stealth checkouts
Injecting consumer shopping and lifestyle apps into AI chats immediately raises questions about ads and privacy.
Anthropic addressed this straight on, promising that Claude remains entirely ad-free with zero sponsored answers or paid placements. If two connected apps can answer your prompt, Claude ranks them purely based on what is most useful to you.
On the privacy front, data pulled from your connected accounts is not used to train Anthropic models. Connected apps cannot peek into your other Claude conversations, and integrations can be unlinked at any time.
Crucially, Claude requires explicit confirmation before initiating real-world transactions. It will find the dinner reservation or pack your grocery cart, but it will check with you before finalizing bookings or pulling out your credit card.
The new connectors are currently available across all Claude plans on desktop and web, while mobile access is rolling out in beta.
Why it matters
We see this as a critical pivot for Anthropic, expanding Claude from an office workhorse into a general-purpose daily interface.
For regular users, the appeal is not just skipping app switches. It is multi-app orchestration. Planning a weekend trip usually means bouncing across six different browser tabs and apps. Doing the itinerary, finding restaurants, picking hotels, and building a road trip soundtrack inside a single conversation makes the AI genuinely useful as a coordinator.
For the AI landscape, the battleground is shifting rapidly from raw benchmark scores to ecosystem connectivity. OpenAI has pursued personal tool integrations for a while, and Anthropic's entry solidifies that personal agents are the next consumer battleground.
Anthropic's stance on rejecting sponsored answers is especially smart. The moment an AI assistant begins steering your dinner plans based on who bought ad space, user trust evaporates. The strict human-in-the-loop requirement for purchases also keeps high-stakes agentic errors in check. If you already rely on Claude, connecting your Spotify or delivery apps is well worth a test run today.
