Argil's AI avatars can now hold and pitch real products
Argil just merged its models with OpenAI tech to allow AI avatars to physically hold products while speaking on camera. The entire showcase video can be generated directly from a single product image, making e-commerce ad generation far more convincing.

Putting products into AI hands
If you have seen AI avatars on social media, you already know the limitation: they can speak to the camera easily, but they almost never interact with real objects.
AI video platform Argil says it has finally cracked that problem. Its digital avatars can now naturally hold products and talk in generated clips.
According to the team, the entire video can be generated from just a single product photo. The feature is powered by a combination of OpenAI tech and Argil's own AI models, and testing access is rolling out now.
Why it matters
Physical interaction has always been the giveaway in AI-generated video. Warped fingers and floating objects usually ruin the illusion before the pitch even finishes.
For solo creators and small e-commerce brands, turning a single static product shot into a talking showcase could wipe out production costs for social ads.
We think combining broad foundation models with niche in-house models is a smart shortcut to a commercially viable tool. Still, the real test will be motion consistency. It remains to be seen whether the hold looks truly convincing across different angles without visual glitches.
