Anthropic's new tool writes your prompts for you

Published Reach 40

Anthropic just rolled out a prompt generator in the Anthropic Console to help developers create production-ready prompts. By simply describing what you want to achieve, Claude uses prompt engineering techniques like chain-of-thought reasoning to generate more effective and reliable prompts.

Writing good prompts is often more art than science, especially when you are trying to coax consistent outputs out of a model.

Anthropic just rolled out a built-in prompt generator directly inside the Anthropic Console.

Claude writes its own instructions

Instead of tinkering with prompt formats by hand, users can now simply describe what they want to achieve in plain English. Claude then takes over, using established prompt engineering methods like chain-of-thought reasoning to output production-ready prompts that are designed to be clearer and more reliable.

Why it matters

For developers and prompt engineers, this removes a ton of trial-and-error friction when building on Claude. Getting a model to follow strict instructions usually requires tedious structuring, so having Anthropic automate that baseline right inside the console is a welcome quality-of-life update.

We think it is a smart play to lower the onboarding barrier for developers. While automated prompts will still need human stress-testing on edge cases, making prompt engineering a one-click step should help teams move from an idea to a working prototype much faster.
