Alibaba drops Happy Oyster, an interactive 3D world model
Alibaba’s ATH team just introduced Happy Oyster in beta, a new world model that generates interactive 3D environments on the fly from multimodal inputs. Similar to Google’s Genie 3, it lets you roam dynamic worlds and direct characters via text prompts. Early access is currently open via a waitlist.

Roaming dynamic worlds on the fly
Alibaba’s ATH team introduced the beta version of Happy Oyster, a new interactive 3D world model.
Taking cues from systems like Google’s Genie 3, the model turns multimodal inputs into explorable, interactive 3D environments in real time.
You can freely move around the generated space and direct characters simply with text prompts. In demos, you can have a character ride a horse, skate, paraglide, or even mount a dragon.
Why it matters
The ATH team has already proven its generative chops with Happy Horse, a video generator sitting near the top of the Artificial Analysis leaderboard. Happy Oyster marks a clear evolution from passive video generation to real-time interactive worlds.
We think this points toward a fundamental shift for game development. Instead of building every asset manually, developers might soon guide entire dynamic worlds via prompts. Early access is currently available via a waitlist on their website.
